ISO 9000 Standards - In Brief

The ISO 9000 quality standards were established by the International Organization for Standardization, a respected and recognized worldwide federation of non-governmental organizations. ISO standards ensure a common understanding of compliance and provides for an independent validation of the adherence. The ISO 9001:2000 standards focus on the Quality Management System used by certified companies and has become an international quality benchmark.

Each compliant company has installed a Quality Management System which uses a process approach. It includes:
